Well, Taegan is 10 weeks old today! I can't believe its already been that long since he was born! (I promise I'll get better about updating this!) At his 2 month checkup, Tac weighed 10 lb 11 0z and is 22 1/2 inches long!! We have finally wrapped up everything at the gin and are jumping into taxidermy as we adjust to being a new family. It has definately not been easy!! However, in just the last week, thanks to some changes in my diet Tac has gone from a very fussy, moody, high-maintenance baby to a pretty happy and easy going little guy. Thanks Melissa!!!!! I feel like all I get to eat is cardboard and not much else, but it's definatley worth it! I was beginning to get worried that Tac was going to be an only child!! (I'm still not sure that Al is convinced though, so I'll just keeping praying and eating cardboard!)

We've done lots of traveling here lately, which is really hard with a new baby!! First it was to the deer lease for a week, then to the Corpus area to see all of Al's family, and then to Kerrville for a taxidermy seminar. Nine hours is a very, very long time to be in a car with a baby! All in all, we are doing great and glad to be home for a while!!

Four generations of Crisp boys!! Curtis Rudoph,; Curtis Allen, Sr.; Curtis Allen, Jr. (Al); and Taegan Allen. Sorry folks, for breaking tradition.

I left Al to babysit and this was the result. In case you're wondering, yes, that is a dog bed. Al's been pretty good to Buster, though, so I guess Taegan should turn out alright.

Camo Family!! At 4 1/2 weeks old, Tac took his first trip to the deer lease. Al is soooo ready for Tac to come riding in with his first kill. Im a little worried though-- with his parents being taxidermists, I think Tac is gonna expect to get every horny toad and jackrabbit he kills mounted!!!!

Tac LOVES his bath!!

  1. Awesome pictures!! But that is because of a awesome family!! I am so happy we were able to see all of you. I am sure TAC will be alot like Al in that he will say, "Since I killed it I will mount it." I am sure in your family like ours if you kill it you clean it. But ya'll will add to that you will have to mount it too. lol!!! TAC will start winning award at the age of 2 by the time you and Al teach him all the ends and outs of the business and since he has been going to classes with you he will even know the up to date business when it comes to taxidermy. Love you sister-in-law, KJO
